Govt launches tax-exempt LTC cash voucher scheme to boost consumer spending 13 Oct, 2020, 03.36 PM IST. This is a one-time scheme and payment will be only in lieu of one LTC during the block of four years 2018-21. This should help people to some extent as it makes one third of their spending, as per specified conditions, tax exempt.

The scheme is for LTC block of 2018-21. Normally, a block contains two LTC fare (hometown and anywhere in India). If one has been availed and other remaining, the same can be utilized for this purpose. Any unutilized LTC of the block of 2018-21 is eligible.
